Herman Taylor for U.S. Congress:  The fighter Maryland's working families deserve.

Standing up for Working Families

Growing up Herman Taylor watched his single mother struggle with double shifts at a low-paying job to support his family. That's why he spearheaded groundbreaking legislation in the Maryland General Assembly to raise the Maryland minimum wage to a living wage. In Congress, Herman will continue fighting to ensure our hardworking families can make ends meet.

Rebuilding Our Economy

A former small business owner, Herman Taylor knows local businesses are critical to our economy. In the State Assembly, he educated over a thousand small and minority business owners about state sponsored innovative programs to encourage small business expansion and job creation that are key to fixing our economy and get local businesses hiring again.

Creating good-paying jobs

Herman Taylor is using innovative programs to put our families back to work. Last year he created the Mega Job Expo Maryland to promote long-term relationships between job candidates and employers. He'll push for new training and job assistance programs to ready our workforce for available jobs.

Supporting our children

An Excellence in Education Award winner, Herman Taylor is a champion for our children by supporting safe group homes for local foster children and mandating that worker's compensation be provided for unpaid students who recieve "On The Job Training" at local businesses who participate in this special educational initiative. He'll continue to make Maryland a better place to raise a family with safer streets, improved schools from kindergarten through 12th, and more affordable higher education.
