Rev. Johnson was born on May 17th, 1979 in New York, New York, to the proud parents of Kay and Larry Reid. She was raised in Oakland, California with her younger brother Jamie Reid whom she loves dearly. As a young child, her mother, Kay Reid, baptized and raised her in the Lord’s church. At the age of 12, she officially received the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior and labored under the ministry Bishop Ernestine Cleveland Reems at the Center of Hope Community Church where at the age of 16, she received the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
As a graduate of Oakland High School, she attended the University of Berkeley, California in 1997 where she pursued her undergraduate degree in African American Studies with a concentration in Black Church History. In 2000, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a G.P.A of 3.9.
In the fall of 2001, she received a scholarship to the University of Howard, School of Divinity where she met her future Husband, Rev. Michael Johnson. On August 3, 2002, they married and joined together in ministry and matrimony.
On Dec. 15, 2003, Rev. Stacey Johnson answered her call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ when she was licensed as an Associate Minister of Shiloh Baptist Church of Landover, MD, where the Senior Pastor is Rev. Be Louis Colleton.
On May 8, 2004, she completed her Master of Divinity degree from Howard University School of Divinity with Honors as Summa Cum Laude. Her elective studies concentrated on Church Administration and Pastoral Counseling.
On June 5, 2005, Rev. Stacey Johnson and her husband, Rev. Michael Johnson, officially started Kingdom Success Ministries Inc., at the Bowie Town Center Mall in Bowie, Maryland.
Through Faith Fellowship Ministries International in Washington DC, Bishop Joseph E. Taylor ordained Rev. Johnson on October 1st, 2005, and was charged to serve the Lord and his people as Co-Pastor of Kingdom Success Ministries Inc.
On June 8, 2008 during KSM’s 3rd church anniversary week, Co- Pastor Stacey & her husband, Pastor Michael moved their congregation into their own church building to hold Sunday Morning Services at the Knights of St. John’s in Bowie, MD.
Currently, she is also working professionally for the Reznick Group, Bethesda, MD and pursuing a Masters/PHD in Pastoral Counseling.
Finally, Rev. Johnson stands on the word of God and the Lord’s commission founded in the book of Matthew 28: 18, “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
